We’ve been trying to make some healthier dinner choices and as I love me a good burger hiding some veggies in a turkey burger recipe was definitely a good call! What better veggies to add in the carrots & zucchini? I would just suggest squeezing the zucchini a bit with paper towel to get rid of some of the access water!
But if you’re looking for a light and healthy burger to try this summer, you will want to give this recipe a try! Add more of your favourite herbs and spices, top with your favourite condiments and no one will be the wiser!
Ready To Try Out This Easy Turkey Burger Recipe?
You will need:
- 1 pound lean ground turkey
- 1/2 cup grated carrot
- 1/2 cup grated zucchini
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Kosher or sea salt to taste
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 6 of your preferred Hamburger Buns.
- Lettuce
- 1 medium tomato, sliced for 6 servings
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl combine the first six ingredients and shape into 6 patties. Patties can be cooked on a BBQ, skillet or even in the oven on broil. Cook patties over medium heat for about 12 minutes or until there is no longer any pink color.
While the burgers are cooking, brush olive oil on the buns and broil in the oven. Add favorite condiments to the burger and serve immediately. Serve with your favourite side dishes!
