Clayton Shagal Review: Easy Skin Routine For Oily Skin

I recently fell in love with La Maison Clayton Shagal products and it shocked me to learn how many people didn’t know that this is made here in Canada and has been around since the 1980s. They say that perfection takes time, and with so many years under their belt, Clayton Shagal certainly knows what they are doing. Clayton Shagal has embraced the process of continuous innovation, rigorous standards, and superior quality when it comes to their choice of active ingredients.

During the last year and a half when we all really started looking at the way our Canadian economy was being affected by the global pandemic, many of us made the choice to be more conscience with our spending. We started looking into purchase options right here in Canada and that’s when I was introduced to the full line of Clayton Shagal products for Oily skin and my skin hasn’t been the same since.

I recently was able to properly identify my skin type, which was a vital piece of the puzzle to get my skin to start behaving the way that I wanted it to. I rid my vanity of all the products that weren’t actually working for me and Clayton Shagal became my go-to everyday skincare line. Clayton Shagal’s 3 step approach: Cleanse and prepare the skin, deeply nourish, hydrate was exactly the approach my skin needed to begin to ward off the harmful effects of time and nature.

La Maison Clayton Shagal’s priority is ensuring that the final products they create are as effective and excellent as they are multifunctional and easy to use. 20 minutes in the morning and at night is all it takes to help with the natural regeneration of my your skin’s key component The Clayton Shagal team believes in the importance of healthy and young-looking skin, without the need for injections.

For years, I didn’t have a consistent skincare routine. Going to bed without washing my face, not wearing sunscreen or drinking enough water; the struggle was real. It’s only been within the last 3 or 4 years that I truly decided to make a consistent skincare routine part of my life. Over many years of Clayton Shagal has become my go-to for my everyday skincare routine.

Which Clayton Shagal Products am I using?

With complete lines for the 4 different major skin types, there is something for everyone. I’ve been able to target my acne and finally get it under control using several of their products. I love that when you use them all together they’re a super team working together to create a balanced and youthful appearance but you’re also able to reap the benefits of using the products individually and still seeing amazing results.

I start and end my day following a simple route of the Gel Lotion Cleanser daily and the Oat Bran Scrub 3 times a week followed by the Hyaluronic Acid Serum. The Gel Lotion Cleanser is this smooth light pink cleanser that is actually multi-functional as it is an all-in-one cleanser, toner, make-up remover, and shaving gel.

Having oily and acne skin masks and scrubs is a vital part of my skincare routine. I absolutely love using the Oat Bran Scrub 3 times a week, I use them after a long hot run to help get rid of sweat and bacteria from sweating! The Oat Bran Scrub eliminates excess sebum, removes impurities and dead skin cells but also exfoliates the skin working to prevent and reduce the formation of blackheads.

If you haven’t experienced the Mokaccino Mask from Clayton Shagal, I don’t know that you’ve truly experienced skincare. It smells so delicious and its rich texture is formulated to soften and smooth the skin. It smells almost like you’re rubbing a chocolate cupcake on your face and it helps to preserve and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. But if you’re not sold enough on the smell alone, it also helps to reduce skin spots, blemishes, dark circles, puffiness, and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while protecting against skin aging effects.

And the last piece of the puzzle is the Elastin Gel Plus. This repairing treatment is specially formulated to brighten, firm, and smooth your skin. I hadn’t realized how oily my skin was until I could finally see the sebum on my face. The Elastin Gel Plus helps regulate sebum production while maintaining hydration in the surface layers of the skin, did I mention it also helps to reduce the formation of blackheads and reduces shine. It’s the perfect anti-aging gel to regenerate, repair, and protect your skin!

I’ve been using their complete line since February and I have to say, I don’t think I could ever stop using their products. They’ve made it so easy to look forward to my skincare routine by creating products that truly work with my skin. The routine is now in place and the results just keep coming! If you’re looking to spoil your skin at home at a price that won’t break the bank then I cannot recommend Clayton Shagal enough!
