What’s the first thing that you think of when you hear compression socks? For me, it’s Grandma’s socks, but my friends at Supporo Compression Socks are leading the game in changing that perception with the cold hard facts that compression socks truly work and they can also look very cute, like this Pink Polka Dot pair. The Supporo Compression Socks give you that therapeutic benefit without compromising on style.
But why would I wear Supporo Compression Socks?
Let’s start by discussing what compression socks do. Compression socks help improve blood flow. Not only do they lessen pain and swelling in your legs, but they can also lower your chances of getting deep vein thrombosis, a kind of blood clot, and other circulation problems. That answer is simple — I’m a runner and many athletes like myself use them for better blood flow during our sport, which means our legs won’t be as sore or cramp as much.
Some athletes, including runners, basketball players, and triathletes, wear compression socks and sleeves on their legs and arms. The theory is that the support will help prevent tissue damage, meaning the blood and lymph circulation will help their muscles recover quickly. Ask any person who is passionate about their sport.. faster recovery time is a top-secret weapon we all want and need.
Who is Supporo?
The Supporo collection has been available in Canada since 1980. Through its expertise and close collaboration with medical professionals, Supporo has developed quality products that have been highly recognized over the years.
Who should wear Supporo Compression Socks?
That answer is simple…everyone! Improving blood flow is not a bad thing, especially when you’re standing for long periods of time at work or end up with tired legs at the end of the day. They apply gentle pressure to your legs and ankles, promoting blood flow from your legs to your heart.
Not only do they boost circulation in your legs but they also improve lymphatic drainage and will prevent blood from pooling in your legs. This particularly benefits pregnant women, those who travel, stand for long periods of time or have severe cases of varicose veins or swelling, seniors and athletes like me.
Supporo Compression Socks not only help blood flow up the heart and prevent blood from refluxing down to the foot but they also look good while they’re on too. With fashionable patterns for everyday wear as well as sports socks, Supporo is in the game for making compression socks cool. I have to admit that, at first, I wasn’t terribly interested in compression socks — to me, they were “socks for seniors,” which admittedly, was a totally uneducated and inexperienced opinion on my behalf. Upon learning more about the benefits of compression socks and seeing the other runners I know wearing them, I knew I had to give them a try.
After running my first full marathon, I was shocked by how lethargic my legs felt. I’d been training for so long, I knew I’d have some soreness, but even after the soreness decreased, my legs still felt lethargic, especially when recovery time was over and I began running with my running group again.
I’ve since begun using Supporo Compression Socks and have found that my recovery time is lowered and the fatigue that I feel in my legs is considerably less. As I’m gearing up for another marathon training season this winter, I’m excited to be adding Supporo Compression Socks to my list of must-have running gear. I cannot wait to see how the use of Supporo Compression Socks changes my training game during the winter season.

With my job as an EA, compression socks were a game changer with my always being on my feet. For running in these, do they have any cushioning on the feet? Do they feel like they slip around in your runners at all? I’ve had that problem work other brands.
Those pink polka dot ones are darling! So cute. I never do long distance running without compression socks. I feel they help me go longer than without.
Thanks for reviewing these. My husband has just started running, I should look into getting him a pair. These look great.
